Lauren's interest in music began with her mother's rendition of "You Are My Sunshine". After a less than glamorous flute career she focused her energies on singing. At UNH she sang with the NH Notables, touring to South Carolina and California. While studying voice in Charleston, SC she performed with Charleston Symphony Singers at Spolleto 1989. Reuniting with some "alumNotes" from UNH, she returned to a cappella in the coed group The Digressions for 5 years. Lauren is also a soloist in her church.

Linden's performing career began on the children's show "Uncle Gus" where he sang "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star" and told the story of when his lollipop got stuck to the cat's tail. When he began guitar lessons, he gave his first set of strings to his sister to save for when he was famous. (She was very impressed and kept them for many years!) Linden's fascination with the surreal inspired his early songwriting, which was honed during his tenure as bartender at the legendary Loaf and Ladle listening room in Exeter. After learning his trade on the stages of folk clubs and bars from Portland Me., to Boston, he discovered that when he gave the vocal mike to his sister, people began to listen...
